In a world after the zombie outbreak had been stopped a team of operators are sent to an island to retrieve a new antidote and the Dr who created it. The island has suffered a new outbreak and the operators made up of mostly American and Australian ex-spec ops members fly onto the island for what was supposed to have been a "piece of cake". Once on the island they find a team of crazed Russian ex-military members are on the island for what they believe is the same goal. The teams battle it out with one another and the undead. (spoiler alert) The man behind the US-Aussie. team being send is a psychotic narcissist named Mr. Black. The team finds out from the last surviving Russian and the lead Dr that they were in fact creating a new zombie virus for which there is no known antidote. Mr. Black wanted to use to new virus as a cover to take over an area with vast oil reserves to make billions more. It is a fast paced thriller that is fun to read. The twists and turns at the end were very enjoyable.Product details

Fast moving, lots of action and a surprise ending. Good series enjoyed reading it and will read more from this author!
Very good fast read loved the characters and story line..
Even a little funny in some ways .The way the cariter s interact is great.
Quite a page turner, non stop excitement. A story of American and Australian Special Forces type good mercenaries, Russian Mercenaries, German Security guards, Mix of scientists, French island survivors, American superrich-bad dude, corrupt Am Senators, Mali oil fields and a partridge in a pear tree. And in all of that you get a great story, lots of nasty zombies, heroines, heros, some funny moments and rangertype banter plus a make good ending. What does that all mean - a great book for all who like action,adventure with a mix up of zombies.
Won't lie it took me a minute to get into this book. Once I did though I couldn't put it down until the very last word. What a different spin on Zombies and human nature when the apocalypse hits. I did have trouble keeping people straight and had to go back and 're-read some parts, but really did enjoy the book. The characters for the good guys were phenomenal and made me think of friends and family members who have served in the armed forces. Thank you for another great read and author for me to follow.
I loved the humor the most out of the book because we have similar styles of humor! So it was right up my alley, then the action, the drama, the characters & need I continue? It's amazing! Peeps you won't be sorry when you purchase this book & read it! It is Amaze-balls!!! I would love to see more w/these characters in the future Allen Gamboa! Hint, hint! They are great together & you are talented! I love Yuri & his wit, humor, etc. Nico is an interesting character too.
The scientist that can save the world on an island full of zombies that want to eat them... what could go wrong? Besides greedy Mr. Black... well read carefully to find out! Good luck!
This is the first book by Allen Gamboa that I've read, but it won't be the last. To be completely honest, I was kinda over zombies, what with TWD dragging on and on (and on), and about a gazillion zombie books, the genre is full of copycats. But a friend recommended this book and I loved it! Totally original. Fun zombie action, military destruction, and humor abound throughout.
If you want a fun zombie read, pick this one up!
Solid zombie book. Not an apocalypse book. Good characters, a lot of banter, a lot of action. No super hero Delta Seals who hit everytime and never get hurt.
For the short timeline of the book, character development is good. Good villain. Lots of grey for their "good guys". Kind of a Wild Geese in a zombie book.
